Job Description

We seek to hire a Vice President – Public Safety and Shooting Sports Facilities Services in our Roanoke, VA office who will be responsible, in conjunction with the managing Principals, for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving marketing/business development targets for the growth of the Company’s Public Safety and Shooting Sports market. The responsibilities include assisting in developing and implementing a company-wide marketing plan to strengthen and grow the Clark Nexsen brand in the Public Safety and Shooting Sports sector, identification, contact and development of new clients, and monitoring and managing the pursuit and capture of new design and design/build projects.

Marketing Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Coordinate the Public Safety and Shooting Sports Marketing Plan with Managing Principals and the Marketing Department.
• Identify key individuals in each office and assist in the development of their Public Safety and Shooting Sports Facilities marketing skills.
• Identify prospective new clients and prepare business development strategies for pursuing new contracts.
• Individually, or in conjunction with others, visit existing or prospective clients to promote the Company’s Public Safety and Shooting Sports Facilities design and design/build capabilities.
• Identify future projects and opportunities for marketing pursuit. Develop project team (internally and externally) for the pursuit of those projects.
• with Managing Principles and the Marketing Department for the development of responses to Request for Proposals or Qualifications.
• Where appropriate, serve as the Company’s primary contact point with selected clients.
• Join and attend gatherings of targeted industry groups to promote the Clark Nexsen name.

Project Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assist in assessment of needed resources required to accomplish both current and anticipated projects.
• Promote a cohesive, multiple office approach to the effort. Apprise all offices of the Company’s capabilities in this sector and assist them in joining and participating in the effort.
• Serve as technical resource for the Public Safety and Shooting Sports Facilities business unit.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Clark Nexsen processes and quality control measures as they relate to expectations of Public Safety and Shooting Sports Facilities clients.
• Participate in project review meetings to ensure quality standards and client expectations are being met.

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or related field is highly desired but not required.
• Licensure or certification in law enforcement, fire service or shooting sports training is highly desired.

Career Experience

• A minimum of 10 years in developing clients and projects related to law enforcement, fire service, and or shooting sports facilities.
• Demonstrated track record of accomplishments in these markets.
• Experience related to the design and/or construction of law enforcement, fire service or shooting sports facilities.
• Demonstrated success in business development and marketing pursuits.
